    You are The High Priestess

    Science, Wisdom, Knowledge, Education.

The High Priestess is the card of knowledge, instinctual, supernatural, secret knowledge. She holds scrolls of arcane information that she might, or might not reveal to you. The moon crown on her head as well as the crescent by her foot indicates her willingness to illuminate what you otherwise might not see, reveal the secrets you need to know. The High Priestess is also associated with the moon however and can also indicate change or fluctuation, particularly when it comes to your moods.

  • Has it Really Been Six Years Already...

Even though most of the scars have healed, the memory never completely fades away.
  • Here We Go Again

Today after work I went to the gym after a very long break. As a matter of fact, I haven't set my foot there even once this summer. Well, apart from June. I've played golf instead. The good news is that all those rounds at a golf course carrying my bag had kept me in well enough shape that I felt REAL good doing my lower body program at the gym!

Anyway, this is when I'm gonna start regular exercising again. I gotta shed some flab from my tummy and tone my body in general. If only I knew how to eat healthy... The eating part is my Achilles' heal. Well, my goal is to look okay in a swimsuit by the time of our Thailand trip in little less than five months. It should give me enough time to get something done, IF I can implement healthy eating with exercising.

But now, sauna's ready. Gotta go in and sweat a little.

  • I was wearing white shoes today

I didn't realize it was Labor Day already. For one, we don't celebrate it in Finland. Secondly, I really don't pay much attention to holidays -- unless it means I get a day off from work.

It was a pretty busy, yet interesting day at work. I had to get the weekly report done around 11-ish. Then there was the always "nice" task of doing our brokers' commissions calculations of their August earnings. But then I was also called to host an open house for a condo because one of the brokers goofed her schedule. No problem there. I went to this place (found it after only one detour), stayed in for the half an hour the open house lasted. The good part on my behalf was that nobody came. The place has an okay layout and all. Sure it needs some (okay a lot of) work done. But still I can't figure out why people are not interested in it... Or, it simply hasn't found its buyer yet.

This is actually quite interesting that I'm given different tasks along with my regular assistant stuff. It doesn't really give me chance to get bored at work. Though I have to admit that I was a bit nervous at first, though not so much about being there for the open house than finding to the address in the first place. My navigational skills are pretty limited. And my sense of direction is not the best -- that's why hubby and I have a GPS navigator in our car.

Speaking of hubby. He's in China on business for this week. The only downside of his trip is that he won't make it to my best friend's wedding on this Saturday. It would've been nice to have him there. Gosh! I still need to get the wedding present. And I have no idea of what I'll wear to the wedding -- the eternal problem ladies have when it comes to any event like this... Men have it so easy... *sigh*

By the way, did you notice my new profile pic? And my "new" glasses (that I've had for a few months already)?

Hope your week's started off nice!

  • Sometimes the words
    fade away
    even before they're said.
    Yet they're loud enough
    to be heard
by the one they were intended to.

    Other times the pictures
    seem all white
yet they have all the colors
    you need to see.

  • Gossip

Even when we don't admit it, we do read or want to hear gossip from time to time -- especially those of celebrities.

I admit that I frequent a website called Bricks and Stones Gossip because I want to read about what's happening with some of the celebs. Though mostly, I browse through the pictures and read only here and there.

But all those paparazzi pictures make celebrities' life look so easy and care free -- if you don't count the DUI charges or multiple rehab visits or other health issues related to (mostly) women being underweight and such. Thouhg I suppose there are also those celebs who have worked hard to get where they're at now (e.g. [insert appropriate celeb name here]). Then there are those who have done nothing worth mentioning (other than becoming celebs) and still they interest the public (e.g. Paris Hilton) for their drunken goofing and jail sentences and Hawaii vacations.

Anyway, my point is that I wouldn't mind the $$$ the celebs have, other parts of their lives I could live without.

  • Jätä yksi kortti hihaan
    Jätä yksi ovi raolleen
    Jätä pullon pohjalle tilkkanen
    Jätä tuoksu yöksi tyynyliinaan
    Jätä nauru kansoittamaan
    yksinäinen huone
    Jätä jotakin pientä ja kevyttä
    kasvamaan järkyttävän suureksi
    Jätä niin paljon itsestäsi
    ettet enää koskaan
    ole kokonainen ilman sitä

Leave one ace up your sleeve
    Leave one door ajar
Leave a drop in the bottom of a bottle
Leave your scent in the pillow for a night
    Leave your laughter to occupy
    a lonely room
    Leave something small and light
    to grow into shockingly huge
    Leave so much of yourself
    that without it you're never
    whole again.
