  • This weekend

It's been a busy, festive weekend for me. Yesterday we had a close friend's bachelorette party in Helsinki. We continued to at one of the bride's maids summer cottage until this noon. Luckily the cottage was close to the place where hubby's nephew's baptism/christening was held. Both events went well and everyone had good time.

I've also got the next three weekends booked as well: visit to my Dad's, girls' nite out, and the aforementioned friend's wedding are coming up. I like being busy on weekends for a change. Because usually I'm the one with no plans over weekends.

Oh, and on another note, it's nice that the weather is cooling off some...

This week's been pretty hectic at work because of the change of month. That means that lots of last minute sales happened on the 31st. Also, this is the time of month that I calculate our brokers' sales commissions.

On the other news, my Mom's visiting for a few days. It's nice to have her over.

I just heard yesterday that there's a 3-year old, spayed cat girl looking for a new home. I'd so take her in a heart beat, but... Cati should accept her and they should get along well. Also, she'd have to like car rides and be able to adapt to new places for a short period of time like Cati. We usually take Cati with when we go visit relatives and she's such a good girl in the car -- she sleeps.

I will have to find out more about this kitty girl before I can make up my mind about whether or not to take her. But I'd so want to help...

  • Still here...

...just busy with work and stuff.

  • Survived

I survived the first day of work after vacation. Though I wasn't really worried because our work place is pretty laid back and easy going. And this also somewhat the slow period (as the summer often is)  in real estate sales business. Sure people still buy and sell houses and condos regardless of the time of the year. But it'll be busier in a few weeks when people's summer vacations are over and they head back to work -- both the customers and agents.

And as I mentioned at work, summer isn't over yet (even though my vac is) and the evenings are still long and light till late. Keeping that in mind, it doesn't feel bad to go to work again tomorrow.

  • Summer Vacation 2007

Today's the last day of my two-week vacation. Now's the time to recap what I've done during that time. So, here we go.

    Visited
Cati's dog cousin Rane in Kauhajoki. And hubby's sister at the same
time. We took Cati with but since Rane is about the size of a small
pony and his head is about the size of Cati I rather not introduce them.

    Rane

Went shopping at Tuuri, Finland's largest village shop.

Went to an amusement park called Powerpark in the friggin' middle of nowhere in Alahärmä. Hubby and I drove karts at the Power Palace and hubby also raced at the Mika Salo Circuit. We then rode their best roller coasters: a wooden coaster Thunderbird and the forward-backwards one Cobra.

Of course we managed to play couple of rounds of golf as well.

We also went to Helsinki to see Metallica perform. And again, the show was great.

On our way home I got to shop at Ikea and make some finds like the two area rugs we needed for living room and entrance.

Then we squeezed in some more golf at the range.

    Then
I got the cold and spent most of my remaining days vegging (getting
better) in front of tv watching Disney Channel and Toon Disney. I also
finished watching 7th season of the Simpsons. The 8th season is waiting.

So, no Florida for me this year because we've got the Thailand vacation coming up.

    All
in all, I think my vacation was quite alright. I managed to forget
about work for the most part even though I checked my email a couple of
    times.
