  • No more snafu, it's T.G.I.F. now.

    Yay!

But this has been somewhat a weird week. Or not business as usual...

    (a) I had to "babysit" a 9th grader who was here to learn about working. They've got this training kind of thing at school where there got to a work place for a week to learn about it and about being out there in the real world.

    (b) Two of the brokers/real estate agents (or what should I call them) quit this week. Now, in about 2 or 3 weeks, four (FOUR!) brokers have quit. I really don't know what to think of this all because I like working here. I haven't lost hope or my belief in this company.

    (c) Emotionally I've gone up and down — now I'm somewhere slightly above the middle point, i.e. doing okay. =)

So, I'm quite glad it's Friday. This has been an exhauting week —
    emotionally more so than physically.

  • It is Friday!  WooooWhoooo

  • Well I'm glad you are doing OK. What was that like, being with the 9th grader? My son is a 9th grader. I don't imagine that would be all that fun! lol

Why are they quitting in droves?

I would think watching Desperate Housewifes could contribute to an "emotional draining." I watched an episode and it stayed with me for days. Really weird.

  • Debi -- Well, I (sort of) remember how it is to be a 9th grader. The girl that we had in for a week was a bit shy and quiet. She did do what we asked her to do but she could've been a bit more initiative. I think she'll get that in time. I was quiet and shy at that age as well...

I really don't have any idea why there's been so many that has quit in such a short while. Well, I've got some ideas but I don't completely understand why.

It's true that Desperate Housewives can be emotionally draining. Though in my case it's more like "they've got their things more messed up than I, so I can feel good about myself in the end" kind of drainage. It's just the kind of escapism that I need from time to time.
