  • All the things I'm willing to do for work

My job description as an assistant must be one of the most varied that I know of. And things seem to constantly add up. When I started working in this job little over a year ago, I had no idea what it had in store for me. But the best part is that I'm enjoying all this. I like being able to do lots of different kinds of things.

In the beginning of this month there were some changes in the company structure. Instead of being a subsidiary our office is now a franchise. This change alone has brought me tons of new things to learn and do. So now, I'm not just a sales assistant, I also have to know about HR, marketing (well, I did major in mktg in college), finances (I pretty much slept through all my financing classes) and IT support. And I'm the in-house photographer and courier of various things. According to my boss, I've been great help in all those these past few weeks.  It's nice to have been acknowledged like that!

Just today, I took sales pictures of a two-story, 3 BR row house condo and I drove an extra car to Helsinki. I just got home less than an hour ago from that Helsinki trip. I was planning on going to some Christmas shopping while in Helsinki but I lacked the energy to drag myself to the crowded stores to look around and find ideas. Instead, after dropping the car off, I walked to the train station and took the first possible train back to Turku.

Anyway, even though my job sometimes wears me out, it's in a good way unlike my previous job that wore me out the bad way. I'm glad that I'm able to enjoy my job so much these days. And I hope that I'll continue to enjoy it in 2008 as well.

  • Any gamers out there?

Which one of these should I get as my first Playstation 3 game?

I'll probably end up getting all of them eventually, but I'm still undecisive as which one to pick first.

Oh, and I'll probably get Guitar Hero III as well, but on Wii, because it's a bit cheaper than on PS3.

    Update:
Well, the impatient that I am, I ended up buying the Uncharted: Drake's Fortune yesterday. I nearly put the Assassin's Creed in my cart instead but since it is somewhat similar to Prince of Persia (that I still haven't finished on GameCube), I left it for later. And I ditched Ratched because it's a bit similar (as far as the feeling I get from it goes) to the Super Mario that I'm currently playing. So, Drake was the most logical choice in the end at this point.

Yesterday it was like she was following Mooch's to-do list: she slept the whole day -- and most of the night as well! It was amazing. I guess traveling and staying away from home made her weary as we stayed at my mom's for three nights from Wed to Sat (I had Fri off because of the Independence Day on the 6th).

Well, the reason why we went to visit mom (other than going to see her) was to go snowboarding in Himos. Even thought the weather wasn't the best (it was raining on both days we hit the slopes), we had good time. And what's best, I was glad to notice that despite the long break between seasons, riding my snowboard was like riding a bike, you know what I mean...

  • Been MIA long enough.

It's time to get back on track some time this week. After the shock of not really knowing anything in the real estate exam on Saturday wears off...

In the mean while I'm also busy playing Super Mario Galaxy on Wii...

  • So, I survived the weekend.

And I even spend most of the time under the covers. *LOL* I really don't know what to do with myself. I mean, most of my weekends recently have been very unproductive, I've accomplished pretty much nothing...

Maybe it'll all start going toward the other directions once I've taken the real estate agent exam this Saturday. Maybe.

Yeah, it's been one of those weeks, even though I've enjoyed work for the most part. It's everything else that is "off" again.
