  • A New Toy

I bought a new camera, a Nikon D60. Here's one of the test shots:

    Cati with attitude

I've taken maybe a dozen pics with the cam so far but I'm already in love with it. Oh, and Cati came to visit in me in Helsinki this weekend.

  • Yeah, this is where I tell you how jealous I am of your camera!

  • @thenlove - LOL! But then again, my model is also purrrfect. ;)

But yeah, there was such a good deal about the cam that I couldn't just let it be. Normally, the D60 costs like 600 euros but now it was only 399 euros with a flash. So, no way I was gonna leave it to the store! ;)

  • @oneka - That's still something I want to buy at some point within the next year. I keep hoping that perhaps hubby will suprise me with one for Christmas since he knows how badly I want a D-SLR. I've been eyeing the Nikon's and the Canon's, so we shall see... As much as I love my little point-n-shoot Sony, I really want something that will allow me to expand my skills.

And you're right, Cati is a perfect model. She's grown up so much since the last time I saw any photos of her.

  • Cati has that look of "You pointing that thing at me, again..."

Just to throw things in the air about cameras.

I think Canon have it at the moment.
They have the 'sensor clean' ability.
(Have you seen the amount of dust those sensors pick up?!!)

  • Actually Nikon D60 has an integrated dust reduction system. That's already pretty much a standard on most of the new DSLRs. At least in Finland, Canon has nothing to offer on this price level (well...D60 was a very special offer). Also take a look at the new D90, that's looking bad for Canon.

Yes, I love my Nikon...Old but still making nice shots. :D

  • Love to see the pictures of Cati. Beautiful.
